Mixed Lentil Sprouts Salad and Home Made Salad Dressing

Hello there, TrudyVan here and today I would like to share my quick, healthy Lentil Sprouts Salad and Home Made Salad Dressing Recipe with you.

Mixed Lentil Sprouts Salad is an extremely fast salad to prepare and you can prepare it a couple of hours before hand.

Ingredients for Salad Recipe

0ne cup fresh Raw Lentil Sprouts
one Red Pepper (you can use any peppers - green, yellow, red or orange, You can even do a mix)
One Small Onion
One Small Cucumber
4 Lettuce leaves
2 Large tomatoes
4 tablespoons pure virgin Olive Oil
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon spice (I used Rosemary and Olive Seasoning. You can use any seasoning that you have available)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon sugar

Method for Salad Recipe

Wash the lentils lightly and allow to drip dry in a sieve
Wash the Red Pepper and de-pip. Cut in halves and then cut each half in small squares
Peel and Chop up the onion till it is fine (most people do not like big pieces of onion)
Wash and chop the cucumber up into small squares
Wash and chop the tomatoes also into small squares
Wash and dry the lettice leaves. Slice into thin strips and then cut the strips smaller

Add the lentil sprouts, red pepper, onion, lettuce and tomatoes into a salad bowl and make the Home Made Salad Dressing.

Quick Home Made Salad Dressing Recipe

Take a cup and add the pure virgin olive oil, vinegar, Rosemary and Olive Seasoning, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Mix together and then pour over the salad. You can always add a little extra white vinegar or a little more Pure Olive oil if it is not enough. (The amount of Homemade Salad Dressing if for you to decide. Some people like a lot, others do not). Tosh the salad til all is covered. Cover and place in refrigerator until you are ready to dish up.

Lentil Sprouts have a very low Saturated Fat level and is an excellent source of Iron, Thia-min, Phosphorus Vitamin C, Copper, Fol-ate, Manganese, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Niacin, Carotene, Potassium and Most B Vitamins.
Lentil Sprouts Salad is healthy and filling.
