Just one week in South Africa

I must admit that my life is filled with diversity and never a dull moment.

Event number: 1

We had so much rain. It felt as if it was never going to stop. Massive lightning
and thunder storms. Then one morning we got up with the rain clouds hanging
dark and very low,

We knew we were in for another day of rain. We did not know How Much!

It rained 90MM in less than an hour. Flooding out our back yard. Water everywhere.

It is fascinating to watch but also scary.

You never know what the delayed outcome would be.

Looking out of my window, it looked like a river flowing passed.
We live on the higher area.

The Central Business District (CBD) and lower laying suburbs had the most damage.

Our back yard was flooded and looking out of my window the water looked like
a river of water making it's way to our back yard. Our Pool overflowed pushing
more water into the lower areas of the back yard.

Certainly the most rain in the shortest time I had seen for many years.

What was our next event?

Lion in Town Event number: 2

Yes! a Lion

a roque lion is spotted on the outskirts of our town.

There had been photo's of lion paw prints take and everyone thought it was a joke.

This Lion is thought to have broken loose from one of the game farms but no
one has reported a "missing Lion" yet and I am sure no one will!

Rogue or loner Lions are most times the older Lion.

They Slaughter the cattle and sheep because they are easy prey.

But the threat to humans is serious.

Do not know what happened to the lion. Disappeared as fast as he came!!!!!

 Event number:  3 

Walk with Andreas for a New Heart.

Report back:

Andreas lost his grand father and since then has had a high antibody count.
The doctors had scheduled his operation in the week his grand father passed away.
Emotionally he would be unable to undergo such an operation to his heart so it
has been postponed.  Andreas has had a list of complications since then but
the prayers and support just keep pouring in for Andreas and family.

When the time is right Andreas will have his operation.

Event number: 4

Explosions shattered the still morning at around 03:00

We were woken up by a massive explosions and gun fire

Can You imagine waking up like that in the early morning hours?

well, I can tell you it is not pleasant.

I shot straight up in bed. It is amazing what you think you will do and what you
actually do, do is two different things.

I phoned our security people. He was in the midst of all this.
He told me he will phone me later to let me know what was going on
but all is now under control.

The robbers Blow up our local ATM Bank.

They blow it right out of the wall and the ATM's next to it was still charged ready
to blow when our local security and police arrived.

They fled the scene of the crime leaving money behind after shooting their
way out.

Needless to say no one was hurt and they did not get away with the money.

Well, It is a beautiful sunny day and no one would guess the week we have just
been through.

All is quiet and peaceful again.
