Glass Coffee Container Recycled into a Beautiful Flower Vase

Hello there, TrudyVan Here

If you love a great cup of coffee like I do, then you should have a couple of glass coffee containers laying around,

I did find the labels rather difficult to remove but if you soak then in a little water and then use a little turpentine to remove the label glue, it comes clean.

The glass coffee container I decided on had a lovely red plastic lid and when turned upside down fitted perfectly at the bottom. I glued the plastic lid to the bottom of the glass container and allowed it to dry.

Then I put the container onto a block of floral oasis and marked off the circumference of the lower end of the container. I cut out the circle and then cut it down a bit as I did not want the oasis so high up in the container.

To fit the oasis circle into the glass container you will need to cut it in half so it fits passed the top, add each half and place them next to each other.

Your Glass Coffee Container Flower Vase is now complete.

I filled mine with mixed Marigolds, couple of Cannes flowers, yesterday, today and tomorrow branches and some foliage. I also put in a few seashells in to the vase.

I filled up the flower arrangement with water and place the coffee vase onto a glass plate and scattered a couple of sea shells around on the plate

You can take any glass container and make yourself a stunning Flower Pot.

Recycle containers whenever you can.

Save yourself a packet as well as allowing your creative side shine.

Trudy - what a great idea for recycling glass jars! I hate to throw out glass jars and bottles, even in the recycling bin. Using them for vases is a great idea! And they look so pretty!
